"Right now I get the sense that in Howard County there isn?t a sufficient critical mass of people in the right demographic, and few if any suitable spaces even if there were people to take advantage of them. But need this always be the case? With over 40,000 professional/technical workers in Howard County and future trends favoring small entrepreneurial businesses, I have to believe that at least one in a hundred of these people might be interested in coworking arrangements; that?s a few hundred potential customers."

Interesting story about gold and salmons down the Fraser River in British Columbia. The Fraser River - the largest river in British Columbia, the longest river in the CHRS, the greatest salmon river in the world - is a river of superlatives. It begins in Mount Robson Provincial Park, in the shadow of the highest mountain in the Rockies.

Columbia University's official campus will expand further into Harlem, uprooting local residents. In a neighborhood where residents have already experienced rising rents and tense interactions with incoming Columbia students, the Manhattanville expansion has provoked ire and initiated a passionate pushback.

About one-third of the people living in the national's capital are functionally illiterate, compared with about one-fifth nationally, according to a report on the District of Columbia. Adults are considered functionally illiterate if they have trouble doing such things as comprehending bus schedules, reading maps and filling out job applications.
